 Finally we got a league game under our belts this afternoon. Swords to their credit never gave up even at 4 nil down.
 Gar Deegan handed 4 debuts out today with Kevin Murray , Aaron O'Neill, Tosh Ward and Gary Murray all in the starting line up with the latter of them Gar Murray very unlucky not to pick up Man of the match award pipped to it only by Alan Myler who had an outstanding game with a goal and 3 assists. Myler & Cox were outstanding today on a pitch that didnt stand up to well to the weather. It was tough going in the 2nd half as the pitch cut up and the lack of matches showed near the end but it was important to get the 3 pts on the board and the momentum going again all without influential skipper Anto White who missed out against his old club with a hamstring strain. Daithi O'Brien came off the bench for his debut to add legs in the middle of the park with about 30 to play and done very well as did Dave Kelly and Darragh Kelly. Games will come thick and fast now and our big squad will all play their part. Onwards and upwards hon the Neers âš½
