Phil Cox

Phil joined the Pioneers family in the summer of 2015 when he signed from St. Canices.

He has a played for just a few clubs on his journey to the club he was always destined to play for ! Those clubs were Drumcondra,Rivervalley Rangers, Swords Celtic and St.Canices.

He won promotion with Swords Celtic and the UCFL Div 1 Shield with St.Canices who he also went on to manage for the 2014-15 season. His prize posession however is winning Irish player of the tournament for DHL Ireland at their annual tournament although that may of been topped when the gaffer Gary Deegan spotted Phils leadership skills and made him Vice Captain at the Neers. He has performed excellently this season at CB, RB, LW and RW but he has nailed down LB in recent games. 

The Gaffer told us : "Phil is a model pro with a fantastic attitude on and off the pitch despite his advancing years who leaves nothing out on the field of play" ....

Phil also has a new range of head shaving products on the way to all brutal chemists near you for 2017.

All joking aside though the man is a legend and everyone hopes Phil will be part of our club for years to come .
